Tech Skills Students Need
The article Gee sent about tech skills students need to know was a great checklist to go through. I went down the line checking off what I know how to do and what I didn't; and then for the ones I did know, I questioned whether or not I was proficient in them. For the most part, I would say that I knew how to do them pretty well. I think that a lot of these skills will look great on my resume. I like to feel like I'm ahead of the curve for students my age because I'm in this social media class. I think I'm learning several different tools that will make me a marketable candidate to employers. Everyone is starting to jump on the social media craze and I like to think that I'll be a pro when everyone else is still learning. I have to thank Gee for most of this knowledge I have learned. The reports we did on the different types of social media have definitely been a big help!

The link you provided doesn't work for me but I figured I would still comment. I also think I'm ahead of others because of this class. It's only midterms and think of how much we've done! I have a feeling that some of them will die out quickly but other I truly believe will last a while. I had not heard of Twitter before this class and now that I'm on it I realize how great it is.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think this is a great skill to have. Especially because a lot of these are so new, it is something we can all bring to a job.
